Metrics and goals were discussed at the annual staff retreat in January. Each team member set two goals for February: 1) Personal goal – something they wanted to improve on (EX: being on time, keeping office cleaner) 2) Office goal – using a metric discussed at the retreat (EX: offering second-pair to every optical patient, offering annual supply before lesser amount to every CL patient). Each team member had a calendar and each day the staff member worked toward each of their goals, they stamped the calendar. Post-stamping would not count, but each team member would get one “free day.” If the entire calendar was stamped, the team member would earn a free office t-shirt.
